Re: SGA costume progress

The version I bought came with them...I got the Well d90h. It comes with a mock silencer (which I don't use), the torch & the scope (which is an electronic crosshair scope)...it doesn't however have the stubby screen accurate barrel. I made the one on mine

Re: SGA costume progress

You might be able to find cheap options at walmart, they have some pretty decent stuff there. Other than that, airsplat.com is pretty cheap too.

Re: SGA costume progress

After a little research on the boards here, I found this...
http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=33

That one is apparently the screen used one, but with only about an hour-ish run time, I'm a little unsure about snagging one. I also found this one that looks like it runs longer & a little brighter...
http://www.streamlight.com/product/product.aspx?pid=34

Hope this helps...

Re: SGA costume progress

Stitch has this on his site: "The Streamlight Scorpion® Tactical Flashlight was affixed on almost every P-90 ever seen on screen for SG-1 and Atlantis. This bight little monster can be seen on the screen from Stargate to CSI." Looks like you nailed it! I don't know how much those go for elsewhere, but here is the link: I have a coupon for 10% if any of you are interested :)

Welp, re-ordered my BDUs...hopefully they'll be here mid-week next week. On a time crunch now as PCC is only about 3 weeks away.

Re: SGA costume progress

It's been my experience that mail order houses will not refund shipping charges unless they made an error, that's just one of the pitfalls of ordering clothing mail order. If your local store only carries the four pocket shirt, why not just remove the two lower pockets? I did this to a shirt I purchased and since it was new, the colors under the pockets had not faded, and still matched the rest of the rest of the shirt. just a thought.

Again, thank you Merlin. I think I got everything sorted now. In the future, I will probably get a 4 pocket blouse & modify it.

So I was asked by some folks to see what I have together so far & I thought I'd share them here as well...my BDUs should be in on Thursday & I'll be able to get my velcro sewn on for my patches...untill then, enjoy!

Looking good, Chris! Shepherd would be proud to have you under his command. Don't forget the standard-issue, anti McKay lemon. ;)

Re: SGA costume progress

The rubber lemon Colonel Sheppard always has to threaten McKay with, who has a hatred/allergy of said fruit! :D Watch the SG-1 episode, The Pegasus Project and you'll get it :D

I'll have to watch that episode, sounds funny; especially knowing how McKay can be. :D

Re: SGA costume progress

I also made my Garrison Duty shirt from a 4 pocket one as I wanted a 100% cotton shirt which is really hard to find these days. Fortunately the fabric from the lower pockets is perfect to make the epaulettes with.
