Staff weapons

Does anyone here have any experience in making, or know where to get a staff weapon? I do prefer the building part though. They are rather big and cumbersome, but it would be fun to have one.

Re: Staff weapons

Check on the main page of the forum, there is a link to a Jaffa fan forum. I've taken a peek there from time to time and I seem to remember a project building a staff weapon.

Re: Staff weapons

There is? I looked but did not find any. If it is the Jaffa Kree! one it seems to have disappeared, the link goes straight to Scifi geek collectibles page.

And while looking around on different sites, like the Wraith neverending and Tokra resistance I found that many of the links to our page were broken.

Re: Staff weapons

Tried to help you out Dusty, but my searching has come up with very few leads. The Jaffa Kree! site is indeed no longer functional and none of the various cosplay forums I checked out were any help.

I find one cosplayer with photos of a Jaffa Serpent Guard outfit. Not sure if he made his own staff weapon or bought one. Also not sure if the email is still valid (as the photos were mentioned as being from 2008), but it's all I could find. Hope this helps.

Re: Staff weapons

The Jaffa Kree link is defiantly broken. Dusty, enter "Jaffa staff weapon" into your search engine, and several site should pop up. Be advised, I found several on e-bay, the cheapest was selling for just over $1000.00 US, they seem to range from $1000.00 to over $3000.00 for an original studio built prop. You'll have to do a bit of research to find one now as so much time has passed since the show ended, or bite the bullet and build it yourself. It seems that anyone that has one wants top dollar for it. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Re: Staff weapons

Many thanks guys.
I to have googled around and are stunned by some of the prices. But that they are almost impossible to buy is rather good actually. I usually like building the stuff better than actually using them.

I had not found the serpent guard page though. Good pictures there.
