My P90 and MP5

heres a couple of pics of the p90, and mp5 i have for my sg-7 sg-1 and atlantis costumes.

Image

i was very lucky to get this..i asked sgcmerc ,from sg1props if he could help me find what i need.he graciously offered to buy a gun for me and use the scope and rail he had left over from the tutorial he has on his site for modifying one of these. i also had to add a flashlight foregrip and paint the bright orange flash suppressor. ive modded the second magazine by adding a couple of fake rounds to it, and have ordered the correct flash suppressor.

Image

this is my p90, i bought this from sgcmerc as well. he does a fantastic job of modifying this gun to sg and atlantis screen used versions. ive added a laser as seen in some of the sg1 eps on the left side of the gun

Image

this is the right side of the gun with the flashlight added. the only thing i really had to do was glue the upper reciever to the rest of the gun..after the conversion it had a habit of falling off with the extra weight in it

These look really good, I assume that they have been modified in a manor that makes the powers that be in OZ happy?

Yep. They are. I had very little trouble getting through customs with these. Once they saw I had the correct paperwork. They were happy to let me through.

The only hiccup I had was an extra gun that wasn't on my paperwork. That was confiscated. But since it was an extra that was given to me. I wasn't to fussed about it.

Re: My P90 and MP5

There seem to be rather strict rules about air soft guns at your place, how do they work? Just being curious.

Re: My P90 and MP5

From what shifty tells me, the barrels have to be filled with epoxy, the triggers have to be glued in place, I believe the magazine has to be glued in place as well. The gun has to be totally disabled. Seems like a waste of an airsoft gun to me however you gotta do what you gotta do.

Re: My P90 and MP5

Cool guns !!
I've bought a P-90 at DCON, looks good and shots well :D
Coming back to Argentina the TSA opened the suitcase with the P-90 and a Master Replicas E-11, and in Argentina Customs i've also open agair that suitcase, but they only ask for the metal E-11, not even a look at the plastic P-90
Just took a few minutes and i was released to the airport :D

Re: My P90 and MP5

Glad u got them through... I had to declare mine too...technically, there illegal because there airsoft, so even with the permit, I wouldn't normally be able to bring them in... But I don't mention airsoft, and make sure they know they can't fire anything, cause I've blocked up the barrels and glued the triggers...

Just bought a g36k back with me from this trip... Will post a couple of pics soon

Are airsoft guns illegal in Australia? I had no idea.

Re: My P90 and MP5

They most certainly are. from what shifty has told me, the authorities are really tight as to what can be brought into the country.

Re: My P90 and MP5

Rather annoying for a costumer, but I guess that the weapon regulations are that severe overall and I rather have that then the opposite.

Re: My P90 and MP5

Hi there...you'd have to check on how the S.A law stands in regards to toy weapons.... I know here in Victoria, I have to have a prohibited weapons license... It allows me to bring them into the country, and carry them around at cons....

The best advice I can give you, is dont mention the word "airsoft" in anything you send in. Airsoft is illegal here. I get around it by gutting the guns and making sure the can't be fired.
