Arrow

Has anyone here been watching THE ARROW? I wasn't thrilled at first but it has grown on me. I stuck it out because I knew John Barrowman was joining the cast. I'm glad I did because I really do like it now. Ben Browder had a guest spot last night, which was cool. Now Alex Kingston (River from Dr Who) is joining the cast in a recurring role...(that will be awesome!)

Re: Arrow

We've watched the entire first half of season 1. We haven't seen any of the second half eps yet, but our satellite system is recording them for us. We weren't sure where it was headed at first, but has since grabbed a hold & gained some depth. We definitely want to see where it's going.

Re: Arrow

New to me as well, but it sounds like they have some good people in it, so perhaps it is worth a watch.

Re: Arrow

Did some catching up last night instead of watching reruns. Comcast has Arrow in their On Demand Service. We have one of the available episodes left to watch. It is interesting. I've got the DVD from Netflix for Downton Abbey Season One Episodes 1 & 2. So, while Sean's at work tomorrow afternoon I can watch that & send the disk with him on Monday to mail back.

Re: Arrow

Because of all the craziness that ensued from Amy's surgery & everything else going on we never got to see any of the episodes from the second half. Netflix just released season 1, so now we're doing a mad dash to watch them all, so that we can pick-up on season 2. Apparently you can be up to 5 episodes behind on Hulu before you start to lose them.

Still liking what we see. I like the flashbacks to his time on the island(a fan of origin material).

Re: Arrow

We finished season 1 last night & watched the first ep of season 2 as well.

So it looks as though they're going to bring him more into alignment with the comic book persona this season. By this I mean: specialty arrows, non-lethal, his proper name. Can't wait to see. It sure seems to me that Roy is being set-up to eventually become Oliver's protege/apprentice.
