Grimm - NBC

Ok, for those of you who like dark twists to the old fairy tales, you'll love Grimm. It's not like Once Upon a Time. Two weeks ago I started watching this on Demand, and thankfully they had every episode and I didn't have to download it or go to Hulu. This show is awesome! This has prompted me to pull out my copy of the complete works of the Grimm Brothers. I'm so hoping that they'll reach into the history of the "Grimm's" more in future episodes, giving a bit of a history to them.

http://www.nbc.com/grimm/

"Grimm" is a new drama series inspired by the classic Grimm's Fairy Tales.Portland homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli, "Turn The Beat Around") discovers he is descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as "Grimms," charged with keeping balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world.

As he tries to hide the dangers of his new found calling from his girlfriend, Juliette Silverton, (Bitsie Tulloch, "quarterlife"), and his partner, Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby, "Lincoln Heights"), he becomes ever more entrenched in the ancient rivalries and alliances of the Grimm world.

With help from his confidant, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell, "Prison Break"), a reformed Grimm creature himself, Nick must navigate through the forces of a larger-than-life mythology, facing off with Hexenbiests, Blutbads and all manner of ancient evils, including royal lines dating back to the original profilers themselves, The Grimm Brothers. Reggie Lee ("Persons Unknown") and Sasha Roiz ("Caprica") also star.

Re: Grimm - NBC

Lady Blue & I have been watching Grimm since day 1 and love it. The mythology/backstory has gotten just a bit deeper with each story. The larger story line that is slowly playing out has us totally intrigued and wondering what's coming next. The fun thing for us is that Lady is from Portland Oregon, so we think it's so cool to see things & places that we know from first hand experience. I can say from having lived there for a couple of years, that the Portland area seems like a very appropriate area for all of this to be happening. Can't wait to see how the season ends.

Re: Grimm - NBC

I got the second season of Grimm for Christmas, so perhaps we'll watch it soon. I liked the first season. Perhaps not a super serious show, but entertaining enough.

Re: Grimm - NBC

We saw most of season 2, but then with all of the chaos of Amy's surgery & moving we missed a whole bunch. And seeing as how we're behind we haven't even bothered to watch any of season 3. We need to figure out how to do some serious catch-up.

A couple of months ago my Peet's Coffee vendor came in & told me that Grimm was filming just up the street from my store. I thought this was so cool that I stepped out onto the sidewalk & I could see a couple of the Grimm production vehicles. A nice little perk.

Re: Grimm - NBC

Not quite, I wish; but I like your thinking. I did hear from another team member that the production crew did buy a whole bunch of stuff from their Target that they transferred from back when they initially came to the area to start filming.

Cliffhangers keep the viewers engaged and create tension in the plot arch. In fact the best way to get viewers to come back next season is .....TO BE CONTINUED.......
