SG-22's operational profile & history, as well as, a basic uniform(s) and equipment list for those volunteering to join this team.
   
SG-22 OPERATIONAL PROFILE

SG-22 was formed to provide the SGC with the capabilities of a SEAL team, shipboard and as a ground unit. Provide direct action, reconnaissance, asset rescue/recovery, covert operation capabilities, and training for interstellar allied forces. Support shipboard security personnel in defense from hostile boarding parties.
   

SG-22 UNIT HISTORY

CLASSIFIED

The team is to primarily consist of members from the US NSW Command in order to retain primary mission capabilities. Additional team members may include Earth based assets and off-world allies, who have been cleared to perform missions by the SGC. The team may be broken up into platoons/fire teams (in accordance with SEAL Team structure) that may operate individually in order to perform multiple missions as required.

UNIFORMS
GARRISON & FIELD UNIFORM:
  • While on field duty, SG-22 uniform and "field kit" varies as to the type and terrain of the mission
  • If not on field duty, SG-22 personnel are authorized to wear the standard black BDU uniform of SpecOps with or without tac vest and shoulder arm(s)
  • Stargate Program patch off left shoulder; Team patch off right shoulder
  • Black T-shirt
  • Black boots
  • Headgear for this uniform shall be standard US Navy issue eight point cover, in black.
  • Personal sidearm of choice in drop holster, but are limited to the US/NSW arsenal (i.e. Sig Sauer, M1911, H&K, etc…).
  • Shoulder arms which are authorized include; all current NSW/SGC authorized weapon systems
       (Ex: MK18 (M4), MK14 (M14), MK16/17 (SCAR Light/Heavy), P90, MP5, M110, MK43 (M60E4), MK46 (M249), etc…).
  • Weapons of “alien” origin may be employed as mission parameters dictate (Ex: Jaffa staff weapon, Zat gun, etc…).
