Background Info: Joined the Royal Marines in 1980 after attending the Regency College for an Undergraduate Degree in Nursing. Served as a Reservist in the Royal Medical Corps during the Falkland Island Conflict while attending college to get a Masters Degree in Criminological Analysis. Upon completing his Masters, he transferred to the UN Peacekeeper Unit and served at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, NY USA. There he worked on a second Master Degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University in Washington, DC. This was an online degree and he completed it with honors.

Upon deployment to his new assignment as an Observer during the1995 conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served with the NATO forces within the International Fellowship of Reconciliation (IFOR). Upon completing his tour with IFOR he returned to Toronto to command a small unit within the Canadian Forces Joint Operations Group (CFJOG) stationed at CFB Kingston located in Kingston, Ontario. There he continued his studies and Intelligence and in 2006 he transferred into the newly formed Canadian Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM) where he put his skills into practice as a Reconnaissance Unit Leader.
