Lt. Jing Xia was born in Beijing, P.R. China to a military family. Her father, General D. Xia was part of the famous Deng Xiaoping’s personal medical staff.

Due to her excellent academic record, she graduated high school at age 16 and was admitted into Peking Union Medical College. After she completed her Chinese medical degree, she was then accepted into Washington DC’s Georgetown University Medical School, specializing in cardiology.

After she returning to China, she followed her father’s footstep joined the PLA, working at the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, affiliated hospital in Beijing as a cardiologist.

She later received PLA training in Military Strategy & Tactics and was sent to participate in UN peacekeeping forces, primarily in joint operations with the US, Canada and P.R. China. During her first few months in of joining UN forces, the PLA selected Lt. Xia for the UNSGO program, where she currently serves as the teams XO.
