After having served as a sniper with a Charlie Squadron Direct Assault Team with the 1st SFOD-D in Afghanistan, Staff Sgt. (E-6) Edward “Watchtower” Lewis and his team were conducting training operations in Colorado for deployment to Iraq when they were ordered to report to the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, as they were the closest team with adequate clearance. They were then briefed on the Stargate Program, and as all available SG teams were off-world, they were deployed through the gate to conduct a rescue mission to recover several SG team members who were being held by Jaffa.
Designated SG-Delta, the team conducted several
successful operations against the Athenian Goa’uld, ultimately resulting in
the fall of the System Lord Aries. It was during these operations that Sgt.
Lewis first encountered the Tok’ra and began to study their tactics and
methodology, developing contacts within the Tok’ra movement in their
combined efforts against Aries. In an effort to utilize SG-Delta’s
experience and expertise at unconventional warfare, the team was split among
several different newly formed SG teams, all with a similar mission.
Currently assigned to SG-Shadow Hunters, Sgt. Lewis continues to serve as
Weapons NCO (18-B) and sniper for his new team.
He has subsequently been promoted to the rank of Sgt. 1st Class (E-7). Has
successfully undergone the ATA gene therapy.
Maintains Expert rating on all
NATO and Warsaw Pact small arms, as well as all current known weapons technologies obtained
through Project:
STARGATE.
